Welcome to Global Sacramento, Greater Sacramento’s new home for world engagement, global learning, citizen diplomacy, and cultural connections both here and abroad.
Global Sacramento was launched in 2026 to bring a world affairs council to the region. Global Sacramento serves as the home of both the World Affairs Council and our international exchange programs (formerly Global Ties Sacramento).
The new entity connects the region more deeply with the world and facilitate our region’s engagement in international relations, foreign affairs, trade and commerce, citizen diplomacy, and local community growth.
As a division of World Trade Center Northern California and a proud member of the World Affairs Council network and the Global Ties U.S. program, Global Sacramento combines thoughtful conversation about world affairs with direct people-to-people international exchange.
Global Sacramento celebrates the diversity of our region, elevates our region’s global profile, and creates opportunities for residents, students, civic leaders, businesses, and cultural organizations to engage with the world.
Our vision is to support a Sacramento region that is globally aware, internationally connected, culturally curious, and known as a welcoming home for citizen diplomacy.
