We are excited to announce the launch of Global Sacramento, a new entity established to engage the Greater Sacramento area in international relations, citizen diplomacy, and community building.
Global Sacramento brings together two complementary initiatives that connect the Sacramento community to the world.
- A new World Affairs Council, focused on international affairs, global education, public dialogue, and civic engagement. As the newest member of the World Affairs Councils of America, Global Sacramento is excited to bring opportunities for the local community to better understand international events and the impact they have on Sacramento.
- International exchanges, an existing program (formerly Global Ties Sacramento) focused on citizen diplomacy, international visitor engagement, and management of professional exchange programs, including the U.S. Department of State’s International Visitor Leadership Program (IVLP). We continue to be a proud member of the Global Ties U.S. network.
Global Sacramento invites individuals, businesses, organizations, and community leaders to connect across cultures, engage with global perspectives, and play a role in building a more globally connected Sacramento.
